Brandi Matheson - Director
Miss Matheson has studied dance for over 25 years and is a former student of RCSB. She holds registered teacher status with the Royal
Academy of Dancing. Registered Teachers follow a voluntary Code of Professional Conduct endorsed by the Council for Dance Education and
Training (UK) and other leading dance organizations. She is also a registered teacher with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing,
has attained Associate teacher status and achieved her Advanced executant exam with Distinction in the Modern Theatre Dance Branch. Miss Matheson
continues her professional development, attending seminars, workshops and Teacher's Professional Development courses at the National Ballet
School as well as the professional associations with which she is affiliated.
Patricia McLeod - Artistic Director
Mrs. McLeod received her dance training in London, England at the Bush Davies Theatre School. She has her Solo Seal from the Royal Academy
of Dancing of which organization she is a Life Member. She has gained Associate status from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing in
Modern Theatre, Cecchetti ballet and Imperial ballet. Mrs. McLeod has choreographed and done workshops for GCVI, JF Ross, Bishop MacDonnell,
Guelph Little Theatre, and the Guelph Spring Festival, as well as was a founding member of RCMPI for which she has both choreographed and
directed productions. She is a former Board member of the Guelph Arts Council. She was honoured by the nomination to be on the Wall of Fame
at the GYC for her work with young people in Guelph and other communities. Mrs. McLeod also directs an ongoing project which accepts dance
donations to the Escuela Provincial De Arte in Bayamo, Cuba. Since 2000, RCSB has been responsible for the shipment of $150,000 of supplies
to the school.
Denise Fung
Miss Fung has studied dance since the age of four, and has been a student/staff member of RCSB since 1992. She has attained Associate teacher
status with the I.S.T.D. in Modern Theatre Dance and achieved the Advanced executant exam and Jazz Awards, all with Honours. Her training in
ballet, modern jazz and contemporary complemented her ice dancing. Miss Fung competed at the National level, earning her Senior Dance test
and three Gold medals from Skate Canada.
Kelly Steadman - Guest Teacher
Miss Steadman is a former student of RCSB, and a graduate of Ryerson University's BFA Dance program under the direction of Nadia Potts. Throughout
her four years at Ryerson, Kelly had the opportunity to study with many of Toronto's most influential dance artists. Shortly after graduation she worked
as an ESL teacher in Taiwan and Argentina where she enthusiastically absorbed new dance styles and teaching methods.
