Classes
We offer classes in ballet, pointe, modern theatre jazz and contemporary dance for ages 3 to adult. Our classes loosely follow the school year running from September to June with breaks at Christmas and in March. Our program stresses the importance of discipline, technique and creative expression. Placement in classes is based on individual students’ needs. Factors such as previous training, physical and artistic ability, personality and age determine placement and progress.

Regular classes are taught by fully certified and experienced teachers who continue their training to update their skills and knowledge.

Examinations
Examinations provide a challenge, a goal and sense of achievement. They serve as an indication of the students’ progress and proof of accomplishment. From the Primary level onwards students have the opportunity to take examinations in ballet through the Royal Academy of Dance, and modern theatre jazz through the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. Both these organizations offer internationally recognized qualifications. Examinations are held yearly, usually in the spring and are optional. Examination entries are at the discretion of the studio. Extra classes may be required for students entering examinations.
